Today we surveyed land that might become a compound for disabled girls. I learned that those who have a handicap are considered cursed in Haiti, so very little is being done for those w/special needs. I believe we have a unique opportunity to show redemptive love to these girls that are overlooked. So, we looked @ land that might soon be a haven to such girls. As you can imagine, there are many details that have to be thought through & prayed for, but I saw enough to get VERY excited.
I am now in Cap Haitian where the schools & churches are located that New Hope Mission International has founded & sustains (actually small towns surrounding Cap Haitian). I look forward to connecting w/ the
