Today has been a terrific day! We traveled to (3) of the (4) churches/
schools that New Hope started. Although school is still suspended
nationwide due to the earthquake I was able to see many of the kids!
It was awesome playing with them, passing out candy, and relaying to
them how much you love them. I took pictures of all the kids that came
today---some of the sponsored children were not able to come. They
live in extreme poverty, so the support that you give goes a long way
& is greatly appreciated! I was really encouraged today when we pulled
up to the church in the town of Bas Aviatian, where mud & garbage seem
as dense as the people, to hear singing pouring out into the streets.
When we went inside we witnessed men, women & children dancing &
signing worship songs & praying. We learned that they hold these
fasting services every Thursday asking God to grow their church and
heal their city. That's right FASTING from people who struggle to eat
more than a meal a day under normal circumstances! Inspiring!
Tomorrow we will visit the (4th) church/school before we head back
across the Atlantic. I was so encouraged today that I can't wait to
get to the other church tomorrow!
